Danceworks 2019

We are looking for 20 amateur & community dance groups from Greater Manchester to perform at Danceworks, a 2 day community dance festival for Greater Manchester at New Adelphi Theatre, University of Salford

on

Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th March 2019

Groups will be selected from application.

Danceworks is an opportunity to

  • perform on a professional stage
  • watch other dance groups perform
  • meet like-minded people who enjoy dancing
  • try a dance class in a different style

take part whether

  • you are 8 years or 80 years of age
  • your dance style is African, Ballet, Belly dance, Bhangra, Bharatanatyam, Caribbean, Clogging, Contemporary, Dancehall, Gumboot, Hip hop, Jazz, Kathak, Lindyhop, Morris, Raggaeton, Soca-Carnival, Streetdance, Tap, Trap dance and all dance styles in between

Danceworks is NOT a Competition, there are NO prizes, NO judges & NO awards & NO payment

Danceworks will include guest performances from our neighbours across the North of England, including:

Company of Others Ensemble

Tin Arts

Those groups selected to take part from applications will be required to pay a registration fee of £35 per group

Group Leaders whose application to Danceworks is successful will be invited to take part in a FREE day of workshops led by professional dance artist, Bridget Fiske on the 2nd February 2019 from 10am-3pm at Studio 25, Manchester. 

To be eligible groups must be based in one of the following areas;

Bolton, Bury, Manchester Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Wigan
